Overview
Full Frontal is the primary antagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Serving as the supreme leader of the Neo Zeon remnant faction known as The Sleeves, he commands respect across space colonies and commands both the red custom mobile suit Sinanju and the colossal mobile armor Neo Zeong. Renowned as the Second Coming of Char Aznable and the Second Coming of the Red Comet due to his masked appearance, voice, and formidable piloting skills, he opposes Banagher Links in the battle for Laplace's Box.
Appearance
Full Frontal is a tall, powerfully built man with long blonde hair and blue eyes. He hides his face behind a specialized half-mask featuring anti-glare lenses, beneath which lies a distinct scar across his forehead. His standard attire consists of a high-collared, ornate red military jacket, along with gloves and a decorative helmet.
Personality
Despite his soft-spoken, polite, and unshakeably calm demeanor, Frontal is a chillingly detached pragmatist who views human nature with deep cynicism. He defines himself strictly as an empty vessel meant to contain the collective expectations of Spacenoids, completely rejecting belief in human goodwill or progress. Unafraid to make cold-blooded tactical choices, he dispatches enemies without hesitation and shows no emotional distress over losing subordinates, operating with machine-like efficiency.
Abilities
As a pilot, Frontal possesses elite skills matching his reputation as the Red Comet's return. Operating the custom MS Sinanju, he can engage the Unicorn Gundam in its Destroy Mode on equal terms. Demonstrating exceptional tactical command, he is capable of devastating entire Earth Federation fleets with only a minimal squad of supporting mobile suits like the Rozen Zulu.
Background
Frontal is a Cyber-Newtype created through post-facto surgical and neurological modifications arranged by Monaghan Bakharov of the Republic of Zeon. Designed as the successful output of the Char's Reincarnation Project, he was sent to lead and unify the fracturing Neo Zeon remnants. In U.C. 0094, he spearheaded the hijacking of the Sinanju Stein. By U.C. 0096, he initiated a campaign to secure Laplace's Box to implement the Side Co-Prosperity Sphere, a political plan aimed at economically isolating Earth. His spirit ultimately leaves his physical form following the final confrontation at Megallanica.
Relationships
He frequently conflicts with Banagher Links over Laplace's Box, attempting to sway the young pilot with his nihilistic philosophy. Although he nominally upholds Mineva Lao Zabi as the symbolic leader of Zeon, their relationship collapses due to fundamental disagreements over political strategy and his Side Co-Prosperity plan. His guards captain, Angelo Sauper, holds a fanatical devotion to him. He operates under the directives of Monaghan Bakharov, though he exhibits no personal loyalty toward him.
Trivia
His name derives from the English phrase meaning completely uncovered or thorough. His overall character design and direct environment—from his red custom mobile suits to his office furnishings—are meticulously crafted within the narrative to mirror Char Aznable.
