Serving as the leader of Jeturk House and the prime representative of the Duel Committee, he initially held the title of Holder as the school's top duelist. However, his encounters with transfer student Suletta Mercury dramatically alter the trajectory of his life.
Appearance
Guel has dark skin, a teardrop mole under his right eye, and distinctive arched eyebrows. He features long hair with pink highlights on his front bangs, which he ties back when piloting a mobile suit. He wears the school uniform, and later in the series, he alters his hairstyle to a significantly shorter haircut.
Personality
Hot-headed and passionate, Guel initially displays an arrogant attitude bolstered by his top-tier piloting skill and his family's high status, treating his initial fiancée Miorine Rembran dictatorially. Beneath his abrasive shell, however, he possesses a strong sense of honor that abides strictly by duel outcomes, along with a deep desire for his father's approval. As he endures harsh trials, he grows into a responsible and clear-headed individual who takes accountability for his past actions and strives to protect those around him.
Abilities
Guel is an exceptional pilot who excels in close-quarters combat, efficiently utilizing machine mobility and output to outmaneuver opponents. Having achieved an impressive streak of victories in school duels, his combat adaptability is evident across a wide range of mobile suits, including his custom magenta Dilanza, the Darilbalde, and non-custom units such as the Desultor and Prodoros.
Background
Raised under the high expectations of his father, Guel reigned supreme at school until his defeat by Suletta Mercury cost him his title and betrothal rights. Driven out of the Jeturk House following subsequent losses, he spent time camping on school grounds before being ordered to withdraw from school. While working under an alias on a commercial transport ship, he unexpectedly clashed with his father during a terrorist attack, resulting in his father's death. Devastated by the tragedy and impacted by his time on Earth, he eventually returns to take responsibility, succeeding his father as the CEO of Jeturk Heavy Machinery.
Relationships
Guel had a complex relationship with his father, Vim Jeturk, seeking his praise despite strict treatment. His half-brother, Lauda Neill, holds an immense, deep-seated affection and admiration for him. Initially maintaining a cold and domineering engagement with Miorine Rembran, his perspective shifts over time. Following their intense duels, he develops a genuine respect and complex feelings toward Suletta Mercury. He is also faithfully supported by his housemates, including Felsi Rollo and Petra Itta.
Trivia
During his period of hiding away from the academy, Guel used the fake name Bob while working as a manual laborer on a commercial spaceship. His custom Dilanza originally featured a prominent feather decorative crest attached to its head blade antenna.
