The PFF-X7II Core Gundam II is a custom mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, built and piloted by Hiroto Kuga. Designed as an upgraded successor to the original PFF-X7 Core Gundam, it integrates performance improvements based on real combat operations while retaining its role as the core unit for the PLANETS System.
Overview
The PFF-X7II Core Gundam II is a custom mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, built and piloted by Hiroto Kuga. Designed as an upgraded successor to the original PFF-X7 Core Gundam, it integrates performance improvements based on real combat operations while retaining its role as the core unit for the PLANETS System.
Appearance
The unit features a prominent V-fin antenna on its head along with blue-to-aqua camera eyes. Constructed as a small-scale mobile suit, its structure is designed to reshape into the Core Flyer flight configuration. When combining into the larger Re:Rising Gundam, it occupies the head and chest assemblies.
Abilities
Incorporating operational data from combat on Eldora, the machine exhibits enhanced firepower, increased structural strength, and higher power output compared to its predecessor. Its variable system allows seamless conversion into the high-speed Core Flyer flight mode. It serves as the core frame for docking with specialized PLANETS System gear—such as the Uraven Gundam, Saturnix Gundam, and Nepteight Gundam—and forms the central torso and head component of the Re:Rising Gundam.
Background
Developed by Hiroto Kuga following intense combat engagements on the planet Eldora, the Core Gundam II was constructed as a refined overhaul of his original mobile suit. Built to address tactical requirements and withstand harsher combat environments, the machine served as a central pillar for his team's operations throughout their major battles.
Relationships
The Core Gundam II was created and piloted by Hiroto Kuga as the direct upgraded successor to the PFF-X7 Core Gundam. It acts as the core central frame that docks with PLANETS System armor units, including the Uraven Gundam, Saturnix Gundam, and Nepteight Gundam. It also combines with the primary Gunpla of Hiroto's teammates to form the chest and head of the Re:Rising Gundam.
Trivia
The machine model code PFF-X7II indicates its status as the second-generation iteration of the base Core Gundam frame. Its defining design element is the addition of an independent variable flight transformation while preserving system compatibility with specialized armor components.
