Overview

The JMA0530-MAY Wodom Pod is a custom Gunpla featured in Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise. Built and operated by the diver May of the team BUILD_DiVERS, the unit is modeled after the original Wodom from Turn A Gundam. Retaining a distinct dome-headed silhouette, it is tailored to support May's pragmatic and precise fighting style.

Appearance

The mecha features a scheme of navy and silver armor paired with turquoise joint frames. It retains a distinct dome-shaped head with a single mono-eye, with its weaponry mounted externally around the outer perimeter of the head. It possesses noticeably large legs and can be equipped with external Plus Armor to take on the upgraded Wodom Pod+ form.

Abilities

The machine carries a large beam cannon on the right side of its head and a 3-tube missile pod on the left. Disengaging its safety locks enables a high-powered beam attack capable of sweeping through multiple targets. For underwater combat, the beam cannon can be swapped for a wired harpoon. It is also capable of deploying a protective barrier, performing heavy physical kicks with its large legs, and utilizing high mobility.

Background

Produced with assistance from Shiba Tsukasa, the unit was built by May with a hollow head dome structure. This space allows the mecha to function as a powered suit concealing May's true identity as an EL-Diver inside her Mobile Doll May body. During a battle against enemy forces, the Wodom Pod shielded the Marsfour Gundam and was destroyed, revealing the Mobile Doll within the explosion. It was later upgraded into the Wodom Pod+ during subsequent operations.

Relationships

The mecha is built and piloted by May, who receives production input from Shiba Tsukasa. It fights alongside her allies as a core unit within the BUILD_DiVERS force.

Trivia

The machine was designed by Kanetake Ebikawa. The High Grade Build Divers Re:RISE model kit features undocumented gimmicks and opening hatches that physically integrate with components from other specific kits. It also appears as a playable unit under the name Wodom Pod+ in the arcade game Mobile Suit Gundam EXTREME VS. 2 INFINITE BOOST.
