Allenby Beardsley

Overview

Allenby Beardsley is a Gundam Fighter representing Neo-Sweden in the anime series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Having lost her parents at a young age, she was raised in military facilities where she underwent elite combat training. As one of the few female fighters in the series, she pilots the Nobel Gundam to compete in the Gundam Fight tournament.

Appearance

Allenby features short light blue hair and light blue eyes, accompanied by a pendant around her neck. Her casual attire consists of a dark turquoise sleeveless turtleneck bodysuit worn under a short-sleeved pink cropped jacket, along with yellow gloves. Her fighting suit incorporates a blue and red color scheme highlighted by a yellow bow on the chest. Additionally, she is depicted in a pink fairy-like outfit during specific sequences.

Personality

Initially rebellious due to being raised strictly as a military asset for her nation, Allenby is naturally cheerful and pure-hearted. Rather than fighting for national prestige, she prefers to enjoy combat as an individual athlete. Meeting Domon Kasshu, who shares a similar background, allows her to open up and develop deep affection and romantic feelings toward him.

Abilities

Allenby excels in military hand-to-hand combat, seamlessly integrating rhythmic gymnastics into a flexible fighting style. Her primary Mobile Fighter, the Nobel Gundam, features the Berserker System, which forcibly drives her into a rage to amplify her combat output. Beyond physical battle, she possesses extraordinary manual dexterity, capable of superhuman input speed in arcade fighting games.

Background

Orphaned in early childhood, Allenby was raised by the military to become a Gundam Fighter. During the tournament, she forms a strong bond with Domon Kasshu. However, she is later captured and infected with DG cells by enemy forces, transforming into Devil Allenby while piloting the Walter Gundam. After being rescued and cured, she returns to the battlefield in a backup machine to lead the Gundam Federation in protecting Earth.

Relationships

Allenby develops a strong romantic affection for Domon Kasshu, becoming a trusted training partner and ally. This puts her in a friendly rival dynamic with Rain Mikamura for Domon's heart, though Allenby ultimately encourages Domon to express his feelings to Rain. Within her team, her combat use is affected by the decisions of Major Holbein and Dr. Bergman regarding the control of her machine's systems.

Trivia

Allenby shares the exact same blood type (type O) and birthday (July 24) as Domon Kasshu. Despite occupying a narrative role akin to the enhanced or manipulated human tropes common in the franchise who often face tragic fates, she is recognized as a rare character in that archetype who survives until the end of her series.
