Appearance
He possesses an immortal, non-aging artificial body with refined, androgynous visual features. He is occasionally depicted with one eye obscured. Throughout the series, he wears formal garments fitting his role as an aide to Alejandro Corner, as well as distinct attire as the leader of the Innovades.
Personality
Possessing a colossal savior complex, Ribbons is intensely arrogant and views humanity as inferior creatures incapable of escaping conflict. He cold-bloodedly treats allies and fellow Innovades as disposable tools. However, he is pragmatic enough to recruit humans with exceptional skill. While he usually maintains a calm, condescending demeanor, he exhibits intense frustration and emotional volatility when events defy his calculations.
Abilities
As a type based on base sequence pattern 0026, he holds level 7 access authority within Veda. He can emit brain quantum waves to continuously link with the Veda system, enabling widespread information manipulation and consciousness transfer to spare bodies. He is also a highly proficient mobile suit pilot, capable of seamlessly operating advanced units such as the 0 Gundam, Reborns Gundam, and Reversible Gundam.
Background
Originally created as a Meister-type Innovade, he piloted the 0 Gundam during the conflict in Kurdis, saving the child who would become Setsuna F. Seiei. After discovering that Innovades were meant to be discarded in Aeolia's plan, he rebelled against his destiny. Posing as a loyal subordinate to Alejandro Corner, he secretly manipulated global events, provided GN technology to UN forces, and orchestrated the formation of A-LAWS to rule the world.
Relationships
He saved Setsuna F. Seiei in his youth and later views Setsuna's growth as a true Innovator as a threat to his absolute superiority. He manipulates Alejandro Corner while acting as his loyal assistant, eventually discarding him. He also recruits formidable fighters such as Ali al-Saachez and Mister Bushido (Graham Aker), utilizing their unique capabilities to advance his overarching agenda.
Trivia
He serves as a deliberate homage to Amuro Ray from the Universal Century timeline, voiced by Toru Furuya under the pseudonym Noboru Sogetsu. His signature mobile suits, the 0 Gundam and Reborns Gundam, visually mirror the classic RX-78-2 Gundam and Hi-Nu Gundam respectively. He frequently appears across various crossover video games and multimedia spin-offs.
