Overview
The PMX-000 Messala is an experimental transformable Mobile Suit and Mobile Armor featured in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Hand-crafted aboard the energy transport vessel Jupitris by Paptimus Scirocco for the Titans faction, this heavy mobile weapon is distinguished by its imposing scale, tremendous thruster performance, and heavy firepower.
Appearance
Standing over twenty meters tall with a dark purple color scheme, this unit features a head equipped with a single mono-eye sensor. Its back is mounted with expansive wing-like thruster binders, while both of its arms and legs feature deployable claw mechanisms.
Abilities
Utilizing a transformable structural frame, it seamlessly switches between Mobile Suit and Mobile Armor modes. Built with high-capacity generators and heavy thrusters designed to break free of Jupiter's strong gravity, it achieves incredible acceleration, though severe G-forces during high-speed maneuvers demand superior pilot competence. Its armament includes dual shoulder mega particle cannons, twin 9-tube back missile pods, arm grenade launchers, high-output beam sabers, and articulated claws on both its arms and legs, allowing for exceptional performance in both heavy bombardment and melee combat.
Background
Custom-built by Paptimus Scirocco aboard the Jupiter energy vessel Jupitris, only a single unit of this machine was recorded to exist. Following Scirocco's return to the Earth sphere, it was deployed for the Titans during the Gryps Conflict. Scirocco initially piloted the machine himself, using its overwhelming acceleration and weapon output to crush early AEUG opposition. As the conflict progressed, ownership of the machine was handed down to his dedicated subordinates, Sarah Zabiarov and later Reccoa Londe.
Relationships
Designed and constructed by Paptimus Scirocco, who acted as its initial combat pilot. The unit was subsequently assigned to his faithful followers, Sarah Zabiarov and Reccoa Londe, both of whom served as its designated pilots.
Trivia
Designated with the model number PMX-000, its structure is officially documented as Gundarium alloy, though its actual refinement utilizes a custom mixture created by Scirocco that resembles ultra-hard steel alloy. In derivative works such as the MS Girl genre, the machine is frequently personified as a tall female character wearing dark purple armor and wing-like thruster binders.
