Chall Acustica

Overview

Chall Acustica is a central character in the side-story series Mobile Suit Gundam 00P and Mobile Suit Gundam 00F. Selected as a Second Generation Gundam Meister for the private armed organization Celestial Being, she initially served as the pilot of Gundam Plutone. Following a tragic mission accident, she transitioned into an operational leadership role, founding and managing the secret support group Fereshte to direct covert activities aimed at eradicating war.

Appearance

At age sixteen, she has long brown hair and blue eyes, routinely wearing her high school uniform composed of a jacket, pleated skirt, and bowtie. Following a severe accident, her hair loses its pigment and turns silver, and she acquires permanent scars on her face and body. At age twenty-six, she wears glasses and conceals her facial scar behind her bangs. By age thirty-one, she leaves her facial scar unhidden and ties her long silver hair with a hair accessory inherited from a deceased friend.

Personality

In her youth, Chall was a spirited, earnest, and polite girl with a humorous habit of framing every situation around romance. The physical and emotional trauma of her accident temporarily rendered her gloomy and reserved. However, upon becoming the manager of Fereshte, she developed a dignified and resolute leadership presence. She is deeply compassionate toward her companions, frequently experiencing internal conflicts between organizational duties and personal affection.

Abilities

Her piloting skills were recognized when she earned second place in a workloader skill competition, leading Veda to appoint her as a Second Generation Gundam Meister assigned to machines such as Gundam Plutone and Gundam Astraea. After relinquishing her pilot position, she performed support duties including post-combat evidence suppression. Later, as Fereshte's commander, she directed small-scale clandestine missions utilizing modified Gundams.

Background

Originally named Chall Virgo, she was a Union student before being recruited into Celestial Being. During a mission to stop a terrorist plot, she was trapped due to a machinery failure triggered by a forced GN condenser overload. Although she survived through the sacrifice of fellow Meisters Ruido Resonance and Marlene Vlady, toxic GN particle exposure destroyed her cellular telomeres, requiring lifelong nanomachine treatments. Removed from active Meister duty, she became a support agent and eventually established Fereshte to fulfill her fallen friends' dream of eradicating war.

Relationships

She harbored romantic feelings for fellow Meister Ruido Resonance, but supported his marriage to Marlene Vlady and became the godmother of their daughter, Feldt Grace. Their deaths in the line of duty drove her determination to carry on their legacy. After recruiting Fon Spaak into Fereshte, she officially designated him a traitor when he went rogue, yet privately continued to care for his well-being and provide hidden support.

Trivia

Chall is a recurring character across multiple side stories, including 00P, 00F, and 00I. In video games such as the SD Gundam G Generation series, she is available as a recruitable character in forms representing different stages of her life. In informal bonus manga chapters, she is sometimes depicted with exaggerated comedic traits.
