Overview
Alcides is a Servant appearing in Fate/strange Fake. Initially summoned as the True Archer in the Snowfield Holy Grail War, he was forcibly corrupted by his Master using Grail mud and dark magic, acquiring the characteristics of the Avenger class. Rejecting his divine title of Heracles, he claims his childhood name of Alcides and seeks vengeance against the gods who tormented his mortal life.
Appearance
Alcides is a tall, slender male standing at 203 centimeters and weighing 141 kilograms. His dark-dyed skin is decorated with painted white patterns. He wears a long patterned cloth that wraps around his upper body and covers his head, leaving only the area around his ears visible.
Personality
Alcides harbors intense hatred toward divine beings, violently refusing to be addressed by the name Heracles. Driven by ruthless pragmatism, he does not hesitate to target children or destroy large buildings to accomplish his goals. However, he disdains unnecessarily underhanded schemes and retains a warrior's honor, showing genuine respect toward formidable opponents and true heroes.
Abilities
Alcides possesses extraordinary marksmanship, firing hypersonic arrows over distances exceeding 20 kilometers with lethal accuracy, and can deflect barrages of Noble Phantasms using his bow. Guided by Grail mud, he contains Hydra venom within his body. His skills include Avenger, Independent Action, Magic Resistance, Distortion, Mind's Eye (True), Bravery, and Battle Continuation. He wields three Noble Phantasms: King's Order, which manifests the rewards of his Twelve Labors; Nine Lives, a versatile combat technique taking the form of massive venomous serpent arrows; and Reincarnation Pandora, which steals Noble Phantasms and divine authorities from opponents.
Background
Born as a mortal hero in Greek mythology, his life was repeatedly ruined by the machinations of Zeus and Hera. Upon being summoned into the Holy Grail War, his Master, Bazdilot Cordelion, corrupted his Saint Graph using Command Spells, sorcery, mana crystals, and Grail mud. This process amplified his suppressed human resentment, leading him to fight to eradicate his divine name and exact retribution upon the gods.
Relationships
His relationship with his Master, Bazdilot Cordelion, is purely transactional and filled with tension. He engages in fierce combat against Gilgamesh, acknowledging his immense strength. While clashing with his ancient acquaintance Hippolyta, he visibly avoids talking about his mentor Chiron, whom he accidentally killed in life. He retains deep respect for Jason, regarding him as a true human friend and refusing to let others speak ill of him.
Trivia
According to creator commentary, Alcides is designed as a distinct form of corruption rather than a standard Alter or Lily variation. In animated adaptations, he is voiced by Tadahisa Nishi-mae, who also voices Heracles.
