Appearance
He is a man with silver hair and yellow eyes, closely resembling his daughter Olga Marie Animusphere. He wears his long, wavy hair in a single side braid, with strands falling between his eyes. Appearing surprisingly young for his age, he is dressed in a suit composed of a jacket, vest, shirt, and necktie, paired with a coat and accessories such as a ring.
Personality
Marisbury possesses the typical magus mindset, lacking conventional morality and showing a willingness to pursue unnatural experiments to achieve his goals. Despite this cold pragmatic nature, he maintains human desires and a deep-seated passion for the continuation and progress of humanity. Rarely one to make jokes, he is generally regarded by others as a serious, dedicated academic.
Abilities
As a Lord leading the Astronomy Faculty, Marisbury wields high-level magecraft and developed complex theoretical concepts such as Rayshifting. In addition to his specialized magic knowledge, he demonstrated exceptional diplomatic skill in securing contracts and technological support from outside institutions like the Atlas Institute.
Background
Aware that his remaining lifetime was short, Marisbury entered the 2004 Fuyuki Holy Grail War to secure the resources needed for his observation system, CHALDEAS. Emerging victorious with his Caster Servant, he used his wish to gain vast wealth, successfully establishing the Chaldea facility. He subsequently initiated the Demi-Servant program and assembled key staff before taking his own life in his office in 2012.
Relationships
He is the father of Olga Marie Animusphere. During the Holy Grail War, he contracted with the Caster Servant Solomon, forming a lasting relationship with him. He mentored Kirschtaria Wodime as his primary disciple and recruited skilled individuals like Daybit Sem Void and Beryl Gut into the Crypter team. Additionally, he commissioned Dr. Heartless to conduct investigations regarding the Holy Grail War.
Trivia
He stands as one of the rare Masters in the franchise who successfully won a Holy Grail War and fulfilled his wish as intended. Before his visual design was revealed in animated media, fans widely assumed he would appear as an elderly scholar.
