Overview

Alexander is a Rider-class Servant featured in Fate/Grand Order and related media. Representing the youth of the historic Macedonian prince who would later become Iskandar, the King of Conquerors, he is aligned as Neutral Good. Recognized as a genius by philosophers such as Aristotle, he is an exceptionally handsome boy with a deep love for the epic Iliad. Summoned with both the body and mind of his youth, his memories of adulthood feel distant and un-real, embodying boundless potential as he travels alongside his Master.

Appearance

Standing 151 centimeters tall and weighing 40 kilograms, Alexander is a strikingly handsome youth with bright red hair styled into a single long braid and strands falling between his red eyes. He wears a Greek-inspired tunic accented with jewelry, earrings, fingerless gloves, and a fur-trimmed cape. His primary hand weapon is a double-edged short sword known as the Sword of Cypriotes.

Personality

Referring to himself with modest boyish terms, Alexander combines childhood innocence with remarkable intelligence and bold bravery. Driven by intense curiosity, he delights in studying philosophy, reading mythology, and undergoing martial training. Guided by his mentor's principles, he approaches the world by matching observation with knowledge, already demonstrating a sharp insight into true natures and a natural charm that draws others in. He enthusiastically embraces new experiences and looks forward to the ruler he is destined to become.

Abilities

Because he is summoned in his youth, his physical stats are lower than his adult counterpart. In combat, he combines swordplay using his short sword, hand-to-hand strikes, lightning-enhanced attacks, and mounted combat. His skills include Rosy-cheeked Adonis, which enchants opponents regardless of gender, alongside Charisma and Sign of the High King to strengthen his allies. His Noble Phantasms are Bucephalus, an Anti-Army attack where he rides his famous steed to trample foes, and God's Blessing (Zeus Thunder), an Anti-Unit ability that invokes divine lightning to reinforce his physical body and elevate his Divinity.

Background

Born as a prince of Macedonia in the fourth century BC, Alexander was educated under the guidance of scholars like Aristotle. In the second chapter of Fate/Grand Order, he disregarded his initial summoner Lev Lainur and operated as a stray Servant alongside Zhuge Liang. Intrigued by the Roman Emperor Nero Claudius, he engaged her forces to test her qualities as a leader. Across various singularities and battlefields, including an appearance leading spirits in the underworld and assisting the Master during the final battles in Solomon's realm, he consistently demonstrates his independence and formidable presence.

Relationships

Alexander deeply respects his historical tutor Aristotle. Regarding his future adult self, Iskandar, he acknowledges their shared identity while pursuing his own path. He treats Zhuge Liang (Lord El-Melloi II)—who was once his future self's Master and vassal—as his current teacher. As a fan of the epic Iliad, he is ecstatic to meet its legendary heroes, such as Achilles, Hector, and Penthesilea. He maintains a friendly relationship with his Master, Fujimaru Ritsuka, preferring a teacher-student dynamic, and views Gray as a fellow student under Lord El-Melloi II's tutelage.

Trivia

His dramatic physical transformation into the towering, muscular Iskandar within just ten years is a frequent point of surprise for both in-universe characters and fans, with hints attributing this growth to his Noble Phantasm, God's Blessing. Additionally, his cherished steed Bucephalus is recognized as an independent Heroic Spirit in its own right. Featuring in numerous Craft Essences and side media, Alexander's endearing youthful depiction has earned him an enduring fan base across the franchise.
