Overview
Murian is a fairy appearing in the mobile game Fate/Grand Order during Part 2, Chapter 6: Fairy Realm Table Domain, Avalon le Fae. As the sole survivor and leader of the Wing Clan, she governs the city of Gloucester, a hub of fashion and entertainment. She is an ancient fairy who inherited the bloodline of the Arayar and had already been born by Fairy Era 400. In terms of visual design and certain behavioral traits, she bears a striking resemblance to Kazuradrop, one of BB's Sakura Five Alter Egos.
Appearance
Murian has a petite physique with short purple hair featuring antenna-like hair sprouting from her head, paired with purple eyes and hair ribbons. She possesses green fairy wings and wears a green shoulder-baring dress with long sleeves and yellow ribbon accents, complemented by brown gloves and shorts.
Personality
Behind her charming appearance and polite demeanor lies a calculating ruler skilled in political maneuvering. She treats humans with detached disinterest, keeping her distance from them. Driven by a deep hatred for the Fang Clan, she harbors a hidden motive for which she acts behind the scenes. Unlike many fairies in the Lostbelt, she possesses the rare capacity to recognize her own mistakes and learn from them, though fulfilling her revenge leaves her mentally shattered with grief and self-loathing.
Abilities
Murian projects a powerful Fairy Territory over the entire city of Gloucester, imposing an absolute law of non-violence. Within this zone, she can weaken any target's strength down to their starting point, or contract the area of effect to shrink up to a thousand individuals down to the size of ants. As the 'Game Master,' she can periodically adjust these mandatory rules at will. Her territory is strong enough to repel swarms of Morses, and she holds the Noble Phantasm 'Galitrap Funny Murian.'
Background
After the Fang Clan massacred her people, Murian spent centuries plotting retribution as the last of the Wing Clan. Taking advantage of the fall of Oxford, she joined the Prophesied Child's faction on the condition that all surviving Fang Clan members be delivered to her unharmed. Upon gathering them in Gloucester, she used her Fairy Territory to shrink and erase them. Achieving her vendetta stripped her of her life's goal, fracturing her mind. She later discovered the hidden truth of the Lostbelt before being mortally wounded by the true mastermind, dying in the arms of her friend Koyanskaya.
Relationships
She shares a strong bond of trust and friendship with Koyanskaya of Light, viewing her as a fellow solitary existence in that world. She held an exceptionally poor impression of Beryl Gut. Her relationship with Woodwose, the leader of the Fang Clan, was defined by her burning desire for revenge, though both shared the rare fairy trait of recognizing their own errors.
Trivia
Her name originates from the Murian, a fairy from Cornish folklore associated with ants. In Fate/Grand Order, her outfit is available as a costume dress for Kazuradrop.
