Cu Chulainn (Caster)
Cu Chulainn (Caster) is a Caster-class Servant appearing in Fate/Grand Order. He is the legendary hero of the Ulster Cycle in Celtic mythology, summoned in the Caster class rather than his typical Lancer form. In the introductory chapter of Part 1, Flame-Contaminated City: Fuyuki, he serves as the very first ally Servant to team up with Ritsuka Fujimaru and Mash Kyrielight, guiding them through the nature of Servants and fighting alongside them to resolve the singularity.

Cu Chulainn (Caster) is a Caster-class Servant appearing in Fate/Grand Order. Appearance
He features long, spiked blue hair and intense red eyes, along with dangling earrings. As a Caster, he refrains from equipping metal armor, instead wearing a hooded capelet trimmed with fur.
Personality
He remains the same friendly, reliable, and approachable figure as his Lancer counterpart. Although he claims to be slightly more intellectual due to being summoned as a spellcaster, he harbors a strong nostalgia for his spear and constantly complains about not being a Lancer. Despite his caster assignment, his warrior temperament remains intact, leading him to favor direct, aggressive encounters.
Abilities
Utilizing Rune Magic taught by Scathach, he excels at powerful fire attacks using runes like Ansuz, while using Eihwaz for defensive evasion. He can temporarily boost his parameters or gain effects equivalent to Magic Resistance and Clairvoyance. In combat, he uses his staff like a spear for melee strikes and throws, while also summoning two white wolves, manipulating vegetation, and creating fiery constructs. His skill set includes Territory Creation, Divinity, Rune Magic (later Primordial Rune), Protection from Arrows, and Disengage. His Noble Phantasm is Wicker Man.
Background
A legendary champion of the Red Branch Knights of Ulster, Cu Chulainn was trained by the shadow-realm master Scathach. Though renowned as a spearman, his martial lore and rune training give him aptitudes for the Lancer, Berserker, and Caster classes. Summoned as a druid, he acts as a mentor figure for the protagonist and Mash during the crises of the singularities.
Relationships
Scathach is his revered mentor who instructed him in rune magic; he is even capable of mimicking her techniques to construct personal territories. Fellow Ulster figures like Fergus mac Roich recognize his martial prowess and lightheartedly tease him regarding his unusual assignment as a robe-wearing spellcaster.
Trivia
Scathach chose to teach him Rune Magic over traditional Celtic sorcery because its inscribed nature made it much faster and more practical for real-time combat. In Celtic culture, druids held immense legal and religious authority, making his invocation in a druidic role a humorous contrast to his reputation as Ulster's fiercest brawler.
