Overview

Patxi is a character who appears in the mobile game Fate/Grand Order during Main Quest Chapter 2.1, Permafrost Empire Anastasia. A twenty-year-old youth belonging to the Yaga—a race of lupine beastmen adapted to the brutal, freezing environment of the Russian Lostbelt—he serves as the first local resident encountered by Fujimaru Ritsuka and Chaldea.

Appearance

Patxi is a lupine beastman with grey hair, green eyes, and long hair. He features prominent wolf ears, claws on his hands, and thick fur covering his body. His outfit includes a hat, a coat, and fingerless gloves.

Personality

Unlike typical Yaga who blindly adhere to the brutal survival of the fittest, Patxi possesses an anomaly of compassion, caring for his elderly mother despite societal norms. Though prone to despair when facing overwhelming strength, he inwardly harbors doubts about his world's cruelty. He views Fujimaru Ritsuka with a complex mix of exasperation, jealousy, and admiration, ultimately revealing a deeply sympathetic and noble spirit beneath his cynical exterior.

Abilities

As a Yaga, Patxi possesses superior physical strength and high durability. He carries a hunting rifle capable of utilizing injected magical energy to enhance its explosive and penetrating force, allowing him to take down magical beasts with a single headshot. While skilled with firearms, he is poor at archery. He also possesses exceptional auditory senses.

Background

After his father was killed by the Oprichniki, Patxi took on the burden of hunting beasts to pay doubled taxes and care for his mother. Upon meeting Fujimaru Ritsuka, he hid the Chaldean party, which ultimately led to his exile from his village and his joining of Atalante Alter's rebel army. Though overwhelmed by terror into betraying the rebels to Ivan the Terrible, learning about Pan-Human History inspired him. In his final moments, he took a fatal bullet to protect a spirit-broken Ritsuka, delivering an impassioned plea that restored the Master's resolve.

Relationships

He initially viewed Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mash Kyrielight as weak old-model humans, but grew deeply attached to them, eventually entrusting his hopes to Ritsuka. He allied with rebel figures including Atalante Alter, Avicebron, and Billy the Kid. Conversely, he harbored intense dread toward Ivan the Terrible and fought against the Oprichniki.

Trivia

The name of his race, Yaga, derives from Baba Yaga, the man-eating witch of Russian folklore, chosen within the story to remember their tragic lineage. Character design concepts framed him as an ordinary human soul in a beast's body. Upon completing the chapter, players receive the Craft Essence 'Heretical Yaga,' which features his likeness.
