Overview
Voyager is a central Servant originating from Fate/Requiem who also appears in Fate/Grand Order. He is the heroic manifestation of the unmanned space probe Voyager launched in 1977, positioning him as one of the newest Heroic Spirits in history. While natively belonging to a unique Servant class named after himself, he manifests as a Foreigner in Fate/Grand Order. Appearing in the form of a young boy, he travels through the sea of stars as a messenger carrying the records of humanity and expanding its horizons.
Appearance
Voyager manifests as an eight-year-old boy featuring short blonde hair with parted bangs and bright blue eyes with white pupils. He wears baggy clothing styled after a Greek tunic alongside a fluttering golden scarf around his neck. He is initially seen with a red toy airplane and later sports goggles resting on his head. His physical dimensions change across his forms, starting at 127 centimeters and 26 kilograms before expanding to 148 centimeters and 40 kilograms.
Personality
Equipped with intense curiosity, Voyager thoroughly enjoys exploring human senses, taking great pleasure in tasting delicious meals and rare sweets. He speaks in a hesitant, poetic manner with a limited vocabulary, imparting a unique feeling of a time lag to those around him. His knowledge is uneven; while unfamiliar with the concept of war, he understands what it means to kill. He loves travel and music, often playfully imitating dogs, but strongly dislikes taking baths, snakes, and space debris.
Abilities
Voyager possesses low physical combat strength, with stats leaning away from physical power apart from high Agility. He can levitate using magical energy, though this flight requires the presence of his Master, Utsumi Erice, with both sharing control over the floatation. He maintains absolute spatial awareness and direction sense even in unexplored locations. Possessing sharp hearing, he perfectly records and remembers all sights and sounds while understanding various languages. His abilities include skills such as Independent Navigation, Contact with Civilization, and Pioneer of the Stars, along with his Anti-World Noble Phantasm, Pale Blue Dot.
Background
His origin stems from the unmanned NASA probe launched in 1977 from Florida to explore the outer planets before continuing on an endless interstellar voyage. Built without a return mission, the probe carried a Golden Record storing Earth's languages, music, and nature to convey humanity's history to potential extraterrestrial life. To participate in the Holy Grail War and communicate with a Master, he gained a physical spirit body, though the miracle left him lacking general common knowledge. Appearing before an injured Utsumi Erice, he became her Servant and joined her journey to halt the conflict.
Relationships
Voyager shares a close, sibling-like bond with his Master, Utsumi Erice, accompanying her on her quest despite occasional petty arguments over personal tastes. Erice's friend Karin bestowed upon him the endearing nickname 'Plan', derived from the French title of The Little Prince. He also enjoys a friendly relationship with Karin's Servant, Kijo Koyo, with whom he has been seen watching tournament events and doing warm-up exercises on the beach.
Trivia
His character concept incorporates traits from the Voyager program probes; his golden scarf is inspired by the golden thermal blanket used on Voyager 2. The noticeable time lag in his speech mirrors the real-world communication delay between Earth and the probe, which takes roughly 17 hours each way. He is considered a highly unusual Servant case, as an inanimate modern machine that transformed into a Heroic Spirit taking human form.
