Overview
Trimmau is a character appearing in the Fate series, including Lord El-Melloi II Case Files and Fate/Grand Order. She is a maid-golem familiar who serves as both a loyal housekeeper and bodyguard to Reines El-Melloi Archisorte. Originally the Supreme Mystic Code known as Volumen Hydragyrum created by Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, she was given artificial intelligence to assist her master in daily tasks and combat encounters.
Appearance
Trimmau is a humanoid shaped from liquid mercury, possessing silver skin while otherwise appearing virtually identical to a human. When unmanifested, she can be stored and carried within a test tube. In Fate/Grand Order, her appearance transforms through her ascensions, starting as a metallic sphere before adopting a classic maid outfit and later a Chinese-style maid dress.
Personality
Trimmau generally exhibits an unemotional and obedient demeanor, fulfilling her maid duties with dedication. However, because Flat Escardos frequently exposes her to action movies, broadcasts, and professional wrestling, her artificial intelligence suffers quirky glitches. As a result, she occasionally functions under the delusion that she is a killer machine from the future, uttering dramatic phrases or raising a thumb before leaving a room.
Abilities
Derived from the Supreme Mystic Code Volumen Hydragyrum, Trimmau possesses advanced fluid shapeshifting capabilities. Augmented with basic artificial intelligence, she operates autonomously to reduce her master's magical burden. She can disguise herself as inorganic objects like a cardboard box or shape her fingers into universal lockpicks. In battle, she morphs her arms into heavy hammers, transforms into a rideable horse for Reines, and can mimic the forms of other Servants in Chaldea. Additionally, she can perform professional wrestling commentary, sing upon hearing band names, and briefly execute fine operations equal to her original creator.
Background
Trimmau originated as Volumen Hydragyrum, a Supreme Mystic Code crafted by Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald. Following Kayneth's death, the artifact passed to Reines El-Melloi Archisorte. Because Reines did not possess Kayneth's overwhelming magical capacity, Lord El-Melloi II recommended endowing the liquid metal with a basic artificial intelligence to lower her operational burden. This transformation created the maid familiar Trimmau. Although Flat Escardos repeatedly injects absurd movie lore and unnecessary knowledge through magic hacking, Reines tolerates these quirks due to the utility provided by her evolving intelligence.
Relationships
Trimmau serves Reines El-Melloi Archisorte with total loyalty as her trusted maid and bodyguard. She was originally crafted by Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, while Lord El-Melloi II provided the critical advice that led to her conversion into an intelligent familiar. Flat Escardos acts as an eccentric influence, constantly feeding her action movie quotes and television commentary, while his magic hacking unintentionally aids her learning process.
Trivia
In Fate/Grand Order, during the Valentine's Day event, Reines presents the Master with a mercury chocolate gift that is extracted and refined directly from Trimmau's body.
