Overview

Cleopatra VII is a Servant appearing in the Fate series, including Fate/Grand Order, where she is primarily summoned under the Assassin class. As the last queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom and effectively the final pharaoh of ancient Egypt, she is depicted not as the self-indulgent temptress of historical myth, but as an exceptionally intelligent and economically brilliant ruler who elevated her nation into a global financial power.

Appearance

Cleopatra features exceptionally long green hair held with a hairband, along with green eyes and pale skin. Her bodily adornments include hoop earrings and bracelets. Rather than traditional ancient Egyptian attire, her design incorporates modern, high-fashion sensibilities.

Personality

In public, Cleopatra projects the aloof and demanding aura of a supreme ruler, but her true nature is refined, considerate, and deeply polite. She possesses a unique demeanor described as high-handed yet fundamentally kind; she may sharply berate diplomats or subordinates, only to immediately shower them with thoughtful care and hospitality. Fiercely proud, she only bestows her true affection on men of exceptional virtue and sincerity.

Abilities

In combat, Cleopatra utilizes 'Pharaoh Martial Arts,' striking high-fashion poses and walking the runway to emit damaging blasts of light based on the height of her posture, combined with dynamic kicking techniques. Through her Imperial Privilege skill, she can hold her own in direct melee combat despite her Assassin class. Her Noble Phantasm, Uraeus Astrape, summons a colossal flame-wreathed serpent that devastates the battlefield, though her lack of a Riding skill means she cannot control it, causing self-inflicted damage in the process.

Background

During her life, Cleopatra rescued the military-weak Ptolemaic Kingdom from collapse, transforming it into a major economic power through her administrative genius. She fell genuinely in love with Gaius Julius Caesar and bore his son Caesarion. Following Caesar's assassination, she aligned with Mark Antony to defend her realm and populace, ultimately choosing suicide over submission to Rome. Misunderstood by history as a manipulative siren, she retains that reputation as a Servant.

Relationships

Gaius Julius Caesar is the absolute love of her life, and she remains completely devoted to him, even fussing over his weight in her current summoning. Mark Antony served as her trusted partner who protected her kingdom after Caesar's death. She holds profound respect for her ancestor Ptolemy I Soter, his commander Iskandar, and fellow pharaohs such as Ozymandias and Nitocris.

Trivia

Her assignment to the Assassin class stems from historical anecdotes such as secretly infiltrating her own palace inside a carpet to meet Caesar, as well as her legendary death involving venom. Her visual design was created by illustrator Rui Komatsuzaki.
