Overview
Daybit Sem Void is a character from the mobile RPG Fate/Grand Order, serving as one of the seven Crypters in Part 2: Cosmos in the Lostbelt. A former member of the Clock Tower's esoteric Lore Department (Brishisan) who was expelled prior to being recruited by Chaldea, he presides over Lostbelt No. 7, Nahui Mictlan in South America. Recognized as an exceptional prodigy and an unpredictable danger by Leonardo da Vinci, he acts as a central figure among the Crypters while maintaining an enigmatic position within the organization.
Appearance
Daybit is a young man standing 179 cm tall with a sturdy build and broad chest. He features messy blonde hair, sharp eyebrows, and purple eyes containing a ring motif pattern inside the pupils. His attire is themed entirely in black, consisting of a horizontal-striped shirt, a dark leather long coat, thick black trousers, and heavy combat boots. His Command Spell bears an asymmetrical design resembling a hummingbird or a ginkgo leaf.
Personality
Characterized as an emotionless and taciturn individual, Daybit is often described as machine-like due to his extreme efficiency, though his disposition is fundamentally closer to a wild hunting animal acting solely for survival. He neither expects to understand others nor seeks to be understood, maintaining a detached lone-wolf demeanor. Despite his cold pragmatic focus on whether actions hold value for the time invested, he possesses extraordinary calm under pressure and demonstrates surprising loyalty and casual friendliness toward select peers.
Abilities
Considered the top candidate among Chaldea's Masters in overall capacity and Rayshift compatibility, Daybit exhibits exceptional analytical speed and uncanny deductive insight. As a result of a past anomaly, he suffers from a memory impairment where he retains only five key minutes of memory per day. In battle, he is capable of forming a contract with a Grand-class Divine Spirit Servant, Tezcatlipoca, and utilizing alien artifacts known as Relics of Angels that originate from 138 light-centuries away.
Background
Originating from Nevada, USA, Daybit had no public records before age ten. His father, a researcher in the Lore Department, took him to study a mysterious anomaly known as a Relic of an Angel. The object unexpectedly activated, erasing his father entirely and disintegrating Daybit before his body was reconstituted, leaving him feeling detached from humanity. After being expelled from the Lore Department as a rogue prodigy, he was recruited by Marisbury Animusphere into Chaldea's A-Team, eventually working to thwart Marisbury's ultimate planetary initiative.
Relationships
Daybit maintains a unique partnership with his Servant, the Divine Spirit Tezcatlipoca, who supports his goals due to the scale of his intent. He shares a deep mutual respect with Kirschtaria Wodime, with both recognizing each other's extraordinary abilities. Scandinavia Peperoncino places absolute trust in Daybit's judgment and receives direct assistance from him during critical moments. He also observes Fujimaru Ritsuka with interest, recognizing their contrasting ability to build genuine bonds with others.
Trivia
His original surname was revealed to be Bluebook, connecting him to his true background prior to his childhood incident. The name 'Void' denotes emptiness or invalidity. According to creator Kinoko Nasu, Daybit is one of only two Crypters—alongside Kirschtaria Wodime—capable of single-handedly clearing the entirety of Part 1's Grand Order storyline.
