Overview

Space Ishtar is an Avenger-class Servant appearing in Fate/Grand Order, originating from the alternate reality known as the Servant Universe. Bearing a striking physical resemblance to Rin Tohsaka, she is a divine entity whose identity and role shift across her distinct ascension forms, ranging from a bounty hunter to the leader of a villainous organization. Originally a split fragment of a primordial cosmic goddess, she possesses attributes distinct from standard heroic spirits. Although she operates under a Lawful Evil alignment, she maintains a strong sense of personal integrity, punishing wrongdoers while freely exploring the cosmos alongside her companions.

Appearance

Space Ishtar resembles a younger version of Rin Tohsaka. She features long twintails bound by ribbons, with hair coloration shifting between black, red, blue, and pink depending on her form. Her eyes feature star-shaped pupils and vary in color. In her first ascension, she wears dark military-style clothing with red eyes. Her second ascension wears a red beret and cowgirl-inspired outfit, occasionally wearing glasses. Her third ascension exhibits heterochromia, possessing one red eye and one blue eye, accompanied by a distinct facial mark.

Personality

Her personality varies by ascension form. Her first form acts as a quiet, cold leader of an evil syndicate, yet adheres to a strict moral code that detests unprincipled acts. Her second form is a free-spirited bounty hunter who loves money and gems, displaying a playful, sadistic streak while actively helping those in distress and prioritizing public safety over monetary reward. Her third form unifies both sides, expressing her thoughts and affections directly without hesitation while possessing a deep curiosity to explore the cosmic landscape.

Abilities

Space Ishtar possesses passive abilities such as Magic Resistance, Goddess's Divine Core, Avenger, and Oblivion Correction. Her active skill Devil's Sugar raises ally attack power while rendering them immune to charm. Venus Driver enhances her Noble Phantasm power and allows her to freely change its attack element between Quick, Arts, and Buster. Multiple Starling charges her Noble Phantasm gauge and boosts card performance. Her Noble Phantasm, Edin Shugurra Quasar, summons the high-dimensional temple Bel Maana to release spirit origin galactic energy, burning away target regions.

Background

Her existence originates from the defeat of Astarte Origin, a primordial goddess of the ancient universe whose heart split into two core fragments. One fragment was discovered and raised as a daughter by Professor Tokiomi, eventually taking on the path of a bounty hunter named Space Ishtar. The other fragment was taken by Yagyuu Munenori and raised to become Astarte, the cold leader of the Space Shinkageryuu organization. Growing up unaware of each other's existence, their fates clash over the Master brought into the Servant Universe, ultimately leading to their synchronization into a combined cosmic deity.

Relationships

She shares a close partner relationship with the bounty hunter Calamity Jane, who affectionately calls her by a nickname. She holds deep gratitude toward her adoptive father, Professor Tokiomi. Upon capturing Ritsuka Fujimaru, the Master from Proper Human History, all of her personalities gradually develop strong affection and trust toward them. While she shares fundamental connections with Tohsaka Rin and the goddess Ishtar of Proper Human History, she remains a distinct entity native to the Servant Universe.

Trivia

Her character lore incorporates elements from Mesopotamian mythology, Ugaritic lore, and Old Testament tradition. Unlike most Servants of the Avenger class who possess a Chaotic alignment, she stands out by being categorized under Lawful Evil. Additionally, her unique ability to alter her Noble Phantasm's card type allows for versatile combat tactics unavailable to standard Servants.
