Marine Nemo

Overview

Marine Nemo is a character appearing in the Fate series, primarily in Fate/Grand Order. Created through the combination of Captain Nemo's Atlas Academy Memory Partition ability and the Divine Spirit Triton's capacity to divide spirit origins, Marine Nemo represents the general workforce within the Nemo Series. Unlike other specialized variants in the series, Marine Nemo consists of multiple identical male individuals who perform essential routine operations, cleaning, and navigation aboard the submarine Nautilus.

Appearance

Marine Nemo appears as a young boy closely resembling Captain Nemo, distinguished by significantly shorter hair and a turban that lacks the Captain's decorative feather. Visual characteristics include blue gradient hair, long hair styled with braids or twintails, along with blue and green eyes. The attire features a long-sleeved shirt with a sailor collar, shorts, pantyhose, glasses, and a turban.

Personality

Cheerfully innocent and straightforward, Marine Nemo embodies the carefree and impulsive traits of Triton. Free of complex motives, the Marines are simple-minded workers who faithfully perform daily maintenance, laundry, and torpedo handling, often stating that they live for lunch. While individually simple, their collective moods mirror Captain Nemo's own mental state directly, and their shared momentum can prove troublesome even for the Captain to suppress when they unite.

Abilities

While an individual Marine Nemo possesses combat strength equivalent to a standard soldier, their shared consciousness allows them to act with high collective coordination. In combat encounters, three Marines can team up to hurl barrel bombs via a bucket relay, or ride a rubber boat over generated waves to perform a charge attack called Nautilus Slider. They typically operate in a standard unit of 12, though up to 24 individuals can manifest simultaneously when required.

Background

Conceived when Captain Nemo adapted Atlas Academy's Memory Partition through Sion's guidance alongside Triton's spirit division, Marine Nemo was manifested to maintain the Nautilus's daily operations. Initially summoned with a maximum capacity of 24 individuals, lost Marines cannot be restored or replenished when defeated. Despite their simple nature, specific Marines accompany the protagonist and Mash Kyrielight during critical journeys, dutifully carrying out their assignments despite facing severe dangers.

Relationships

As split components of Captain Nemo, the Marines share a direct mental link with the Captain, acting as a barometer for his psychological state. They harbor a distinct dislike toward Caenis due to the latter's rough demeanor and aggressive attitude regarding their Triton lineage. On their travels alongside the protagonist and Mash Kyrielight, certain Marines form close, affectionate bonds with companions such as U-Olga Marie and Tepeu.
