Overview

A Caster-class Servant introduced in the Agartha chapter of Fate/Grand Order, initially known under the true name veil as Caster of the Nightless City. She is the legendary narrator of the Middle Eastern storytelling collection One Thousand and One Nights, though it remains ambiguous whether she is the narrative character or her historical basis. Valuing safety and peaceful quarters above all else, she approaches military conflict with profound reluctance.

Appearance

She is a dark-skinned woman with long black hair and green eyes. She wears a face veil obscuring her mouth and carries a lamp and scrolls. Her attire includes shoulder armor, pauldrons, arm wraps, and bandages, embellished with jewelry such as a circlet, forehead jewel, armlets, bracelets, rings, and a thumb ring.

Personality

She possesses an intensely fearful and timid disposition, harboring an absolute aversion to death. Constantly prioritizing safety and peace, she dreads battlefields due to the high risk of mortality and tends to treat her Master with distant hesitation while urging to remain in safe quarters.

Abilities

While her physical combat stats are low, she possesses top-tier Territory Creation and the Storyteller skill, which adapts narratives spontaneously to her audience. Her Anti-Hero skill is specialized against kings, ensuring high survival odds regardless of a monarch's temperament. Her Noble Phantasm, Alf Layla wa-Layla, operates as a Reality Marble that manifests her tales—summoning characters, items, and spirits to unleash powerful anti-king area attacks.

Background

She was an officer's daughter who voluntarily wed King Shahryar to stop his nightly ritual of marrying and executing women. By conspiring with her sister to request bedtime stories each evening, she paused her tales at dawn, leaving the king eager for the next installment and preserving her life for over a thousand nights. She later acted as a strategist in Agartha before joining Chaldea.

Relationships

She serves the Master Fujimaru Ritsuka, often begging to stay out of danger. In Agartha, she acted as a strategist for Assassin of the Nightless City, and she later formed a racing team alongside Nitocris during a summer event.

Trivia

Even stories added to One Thousand and One Nights by later translators, such as Aladdin or Alibaba, can be summoned by her Noble Phantasm as long as they serve to entertain a monarch and ensure her survival.
