Overview
Ganesha, debuting under the name "Great Stone Statue God," is a MoonCancer-class Servant in Fate/Grand Order. As a Pseudo-Servant, the Hindu deity of prosperity and obstacle removal uses the human mage Jinako Carigiri as her physical vessel. Classified under the Lawful Good and Heaven alignments, she serves as a key ally to the Master, offering crucial assistance during campaigns in Lostbelts and other singularity anomalies.
Appearance
Her appearance changes dramatically across her Ascensions. Initially, she manifests as a pure white stone statue of an elephant decorated with a red hair bow. Later Ascensions reveal Jinako Carigiri, a plump girl featuring long brown hair, black-framed eyewear, a forehead bindi, long sleeves, jewelry, and a red bow. Further Ascensions grant her four arms and elephant-foot slippers. She carries a halberd inscribed with "Jinako" on the blade and is accompanied by a pink elephant-capped hamster familiar named Mushika.
Personality
Her personality heavily mirrors her human vessel, embodying an avoidant, indoorsy gamer who loves late-night potato chips and ice cream while expressing a deep aversion to labor and socialites. She often refers to herself as "boku" and adopts a relaxed, casual manner of speech with distinct sentence-ending tics. Though inherently lazy, her pessimistic tendencies have softened, allowing her to socialize warmly with fellow gamers in Chaldea.
Abilities
She fights in a comical style, floating in her statue form to launch spinning presses, generate whirlwinds, and shoot water or beams from her head and eyes. She possesses high Magic Resistance, Riding, Divinity, and unique skills granting party-wide NP, star generation, and attack boosts. Her Noble Phantasm, Ganesh Impact, delivers a heavy strike infused with divine energy, while Ganesha Vighneshvara deploys an absolute barrier that deflects all external threats.
Background
Because her vessel originates from a future timeline with unique Grail War ties, her spiritual foundation contains anomalous data errors, prompting Chaldea staff to simply address her as Ganesha. During the events of the Indian Lostbelt Yugakshetra, she was summoned to aid humanity, where her unprecedented durability and defensive capabilities proved instrumental as a secret trump card to breach the Lostbelt's domain.
Relationships
She shares a profound bond with Karna, her former Servant from past events, though spiritual anomalies prevent him from fully recognizing her identity, leading to bittersweet yet humorous interactions. Within Chaldea's facilities, she has formed a close gaming group with Osakabehime and Tomoe Gozen, bonding over shared indoor hobbies.
Trivia
Prior to her playable debut, her statue form appeared in limited hunting quests under the enemy name "Grateful Stone Statue," earning popularity among players for dropping immense amounts of in-game currency (QP). This trait was retained in her Servant encounters and subsequent high-difficulty event quests.
