Overview
Himuro Kane is a character originating from Fate/stay night and Fate/hollow ataraxia, who serves as the main protagonist of the spin-off series Himuro no Tenchi Fate/school life. Attending Homurahara Academy as a classmate to Tohsaka Rin and Mitsuzuri Ayako, she forms part of a famous trio alongside Makidera Kaede and Saegusa Yukika, often acting as the straight-man response to their antics.
Appearance
Kane is a female student defined by her glasses, long grey hair, and brown eyes. She possesses an exceptionally well-endowed figure, which remains highly noticeable even when rendered in exaggerated art styles. Her official image color is slate grey.
Personality
Outwardly calm and composure-driven, Kane adopts an archaic, formal manner of speaking, using old-fashioned terms like 'Nanji' (thou) and referring to acquaintances with archaic honorifics. She takes great delight in human observation, possessing an intense curiosity regarding other people's romantic lives. While logical, she can easily be swayed by flattery and frequently sees her elaborate schemes end in failure.
Abilities
Kane possesses remarkable athletic faculties, showing exceptional agility, dodging capabilities, and jumping power that position her as the high jump ace of the track team. Strategically, she employs a tactician's folding fan to formulate battlefield schemes.
Background
As the daughter of Fuyuki City Mayor Himuro Dousetsu, Kane comes from a prominent local background. She entered the track team after being forcibly recruited by Makidera Kaede. A childhood encounter where a cat scratched her and caused a severe fever left her with a intense fear of cats. Additionally, her initial cooking skills were disastrous enough to cause an infamous incident, though she later managed to reach an average standard through her mother's rigorous training.
Relationships
She shares a tight bond with her track team peers, Makidera Kaede and Saegusa Yukika, and interacts closely with classmates Tohsaka Rin, Mitsuzuri Ayako, and Sajyou Ayaka. Her father is Dousetsu Himuro. An ongoing issue regarding an arranged marriage revealed one of her prospective partners to be Makidera Kaede (which failed due to their gender), only for the situation to grow more complicated upon discovering several other candidates linked to her family lineage.
Trivia
Within the lore of the spin-off works, her past life is identified as Grania from Celtic mythology. In pseudo-Servant contexts, she serves as the vessel for Amelia Jenks Bloomer.
