Initially a shapeless clay figure, Enkidu gained human intellect and emotion, taking on a humanoid form to walk alongside humanity.
Appearance
Enkidu possesses an ethereal, androgynous appearance with a youthful face resembling a sixteen-year-old. Physical traits include pale skin, long light yellow-green hair, and long eyelashes. The eye color is naturally a pale blue-green but shifts frequently; gold eyes indicate a state closer to a pure weapon with receding consciousness. Enkidu wears a simple white tunic and a leather cord around the neck fitted with a wedge. Enkidu's humanoid form was modeled after a revered sacred prostitute, and physical parameters like height and weight can be altered freely.
Personality
Enkidu is naturally soft-spoken, gentle, and deeply compassionate, carrying a serene demeanor and regarding all living creatures—especially plants and animals—as friends. Despite this peaceful attitude, Enkidu becomes an unstoppable and formidable combatant once engaged in battle. Highly inquisitive and earnest, Enkidu enjoys conversing with humans. As a Servant, Enkidu strictly self-identifies as a tool or weapon out of guilt for possessing human emotions, maintaining a self-deprecating attitude while inwardly concealing complex feelings and a steadfast will.
Abilities
Crafted from divine clay, Enkidu can freely alter physical parameters, stats, height, and weight. Through the skill Transformation, Enkidu reorganizes physical attributes and constructs personal attire. Enkidu's Noble Phantasms include Enuma Elish, a powerful divine restraint that binds heaven and earth, and Age of Babylon. Possessing exceptional analytical speed and processing capabilities, Enkidu can function as a makeshift Holy Grail if supplied with sufficient magical energy, and also possesses an internal self-destruct mechanism.
Background
Enkidu was created by the Mesopotamian gods from earth as an autonomous weapon intended to restrain the arrogant King Gilgamesh. Initially a mindless creature of clay, Enkidu gained human intellect, emotions, and physical form after encountering the sacred prostitute Shamhat. Sent to bind Gilgamesh, Enkidu instead formed an imperishable bond of friendship with him after a fierce duel. Together they achieved great legendary feats, but Enkidu ultimately succumbed to a fatal divine curse, dying with grief over being a mere tool yet leaving behind an enduring wish to remain by Gilgamesh's side.
Relationships
Enkidu shares an irreplaceable bond of true friendship with Gilgamesh, who considers Enkidu his sole equal. Enkidu holds deep reverence for Shamhat, the sacred prostitute who imparted human intellect and beauty, adopting her likeness. Enkidu also harbors a compassionate desire to liberate the soul of Humbaba, whom Enkidu encountered in youth. Enkidu maintains a hostile dynamic toward the goddess Ishtar, though showing respect toward her human vessel in Fate/Grand Order.
