Overview
Penthesilea is a character appearing in the Fate series, debuting as a playable Servant in Fate/Grand Order under the temporary title Berserker of El Dorado during the Agartha Singularity. The Queen of the Amazons and daughter of the war god Ares, she is a proud and dignified commander who serves under the Berserker class. Though normally possessing a high degree of intellect and leadership, an intense, trigger-like mental trauma can instantly shatter her composure and strip away her reason.
Appearance
She has a toned, muscular physique with visible abdominal muscles and long white hair styled with sidelocks, blunt bangs, and a half-pony tail. Her eyes are gold under normal conditions but turn red when enraged. Her battle gear consists of a bikini-style armor outfit paired with over-the-knee boots, arm guards featuring clawed gauntlets, and a heavy spiked ball and chain. In certain event depictions, she also wears business attire consisting of a suit, necktie, and glasses.
Personality
Normally cool, dignified, and highly intelligent, she commands respect through strong leadership and a straightforward warrior mindset that values rigorous training and honorable combat. However, she harbors extreme sensitivity toward compliments regarding her physical looks. Hearing words related to beauty or cuteness triggers an intense emotional blowup that causes her to lose her cool and attack the speaker violently.
Abilities
She possesses the Golden Rule (Beauty) skill, granting her a destiny of divine physical perfection, alongside Charisma to command allies. Her War God's Shout skill awakens her divine bloodline to inspire allies and unleash fierce hatred against heroes of Greek origin. Her Noble Phantasm, Outrage Amazon, channels her hatred and bloodline to abandon reason, violently assaulting the target with all available weaponry before finishing with a feral bite.
Background
In Greek mythology, she led the Amazons into the Trojan War on the side of Troy following the death of Hector. During the conflict, she engaged the Achaean hero Achilles in single combat and lost her life. As she lay dying, Achilles removed her helmet and offhandedly commented on her beauty. Feeling deeply insulted that she was looked upon as a woman rather than respected as a warrior, she cursed him and swore revenge, causing her to refuse summoning in her fully grown, beautiful form.
Relationships
She is the daughter of Ares and sister to Hippolyta. Her deepest hatred is directed toward Achilles, whom she is obsessed with killing to avenge her pride, while also harbouring hostility toward other Greek heroes such as Heracles. Conversely, she holds favorable ties toward Hector, whom she aided during the Trojan War, and maintains friendly relations with Atalanta.
Trivia
Following her corporate delivery worker role in a seasonal event, she gained the popular fanbase nickname Amazones CEO. Due to her overwhelming fixation on executing her rival, fans also frequently refer to her as the Achilles absolute kill woman.
