The GNR-010 0 Raiser is a support fighter craft created by Celestial Being in the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 series. Designed at a secret facility in Lagrange 3 to assist the 00 Gundam, it was developed to help offset the numerical advantage of the Earth Sphere Federation. Appearance
The 0 Raiser is a mechanical craft measuring 2.5 meters in height, 17.6 meters in length, and 11.2 meters in width. What resembles a cockpit canopy at the front is actually a high-performance sensor unit, while the true cockpit is located deep within the fuselage. It features large side binders on its left and right that serve as shields, equipped with large clavicle antennas and hardpoints capable of mounting exterior gear. Inside the cockpit, the pilot seat rotates 180 degrees forward when docking.
Abilities
Lacking its own GN Drive, the 0 Raiser utilizes a large GN Condenser as its energy source. It possesses superior mobility thanks to movable thrusters on its main fuselage and side binders. When its large clavicle antennas interface directly with the 00 Gundam's solar reactors, particle control efficiency increases drastically. Its fixed armaments consist of four body-mounted GN Vulcans for intercepting incoming fire, two inner-binder GN Beam Machine Guns offering high firepower, and eight outer-binder launcher points for GN Micro Missiles.
Background
Developed as an evolution of the GN Arms concept, the 0 Raiser was originally designed without a designated pilot to supply energy and provide tactical backup. However, its development shifted significantly once it was equipped with the Raiser System to control the twin GN Drives. Through a series of unexpected events, civilian Saji Crossroad became its pilot, operating the craft Alongside a red Haro. It played a vital role in battle while docked with the 00 Gundam, including modulating output for the Raiser Sword.
Relationships
The craft is piloted by Saji Crossroad, a civilian who becomes its operator through circumstantial events, accompanied by a red Haro that acts as a co-pilot and system support. It is engineered specifically to pair and interface with the 00 Gundam.
Trivia
The design concept of the craft draws inspiration from classic anime support units such as the G-Defenser. In the side-story 00V, it appears in an upgraded configuration known as the XN Raiser. Additionally, a modified version with an enclosed nose sensor appears in the feature film.
