Appearance
She possesses dark skin, white hair, and red eyes, taking the physical form of a petite young girl. On her back, she can manifest rainbow-colored light cells known as Alterite Cells that resemble fairy wings.
Personality
Altera Larva possesses an innocent and childlike personality. Having lost her destructive urge, she displays a curious nature as she attempts to relearn the world by evaluating whether things represent good or bad civilization. Although she retains her past memories, she is affectionate toward those who protect and care for her.
Abilities
Her Noble Phantasm, Fairy Snow Photon Ray, allows her to fly through the air while sprouting rainbow-colored wings on her back and wielding the Sword of the War God, though her lack of experience causes her to lose balance upon landing. She can also employ ice and curtain techniques passed down from Nero Claudius and Tamamo no Mae, and she is capable of temporarily reverting to her adult form under heavy physical strain.
Background
In Fate/EXTELLA, her core survived the destruction of the Titan after being severed from the command network of the Umbral Star, allowing her to regenerate into a child body. In Fate/EXTELLA LINK, she participates in story battles in her original form, but became fully playable in her Larva form via downloadable content.
Relationships
She looks up to her master, Kishinami Hakuno, as a savior and parental figure. Nero Claudius and Tamamo no Mae treat her with motherly affection, acting as guardians who look after her and teach her combat techniques. She also shares a conceptual resemblance with Tiamat Larva in Fate/Grand Order Arcade, as both are downsized larval forms of giant entities.
Trivia
The term Larva in her name comes from the English word for an immature stage of an organism. Prior to the official reveal of her name in downloadable content, fans and media commonly referred to her by descriptive nicknames such as child Altera.
