Apsalus III

Overview

A prototype Mobile Armor of the Principality of Zeon appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Built as the ultimate form of the Apsalus development project, it serves as a formidable threat that displays both terrifying firepower and the madness of its developer, Ginias Sahalin.

Appearance

A massive, distinctively shaped mobile armor featuring a rounded main body. It incorporates a prominent giant mega particle cannon at its center and features three retractable legs mounted on the underside that deploy downward to provide ground contact.

Abilities

Equipped with three Rick Dom generators and twin Minovsky Craft units, this unit resolves the power shortages of its predecessors. Its primary mega particle cannon delivers incredible destructive force, capable of piercing through an entire mountain to destroy a Federation flagship, while also possessing a multi-beam laser capability by adjusting its energy output. Additionally, deploying its three landing legs from the underside firmly anchors the frame during heavy bombardment.

Background

The final evolution of the Apsalus line, completion of which was driven to extreme lengths by Ginias Sahalin. Piloted by Ginias alongside his sister Aina Sahalin, it was deployed during the final stage of the defense of the Lhasa base. Delivering catastrophic damage to the Earth Federation forces with its absurd weapon system, the machine met its end during the desperate final clash against Shiro Amada.

Relationships

Developed under the obsession of Ginias Sahalin, who serves as its primary pilot alongside his sister Aina Sahalin. During the struggle at the Lhasa base, it engaged in a deadly final showdown against Shiro Amada and his Gundam Ez8.

Trivia

Its development brought a drastic solution to the mobility power deficiencies experienced by the earlier Apsalus I and II models by drastically increasing generator capacity and doubling its lift hardware.
