Background
Born into the Galliasta family, an upstart Middle Eastern house that accumulated wealth through oil, Atram won the succession struggle against his siblings to become head of the house. Seeking to erase his family's reputation as nouveau riche magi, he purchased an entry slot for the Fifth Holy Grail War. Prior to the war, he attacked the Twin Towers of Iselma over a relic and later forged a strange acquaintance with Lord El-Melloi II, to whom he delivered a recorded magical message before leaving for Japan. In Fuyuki City, he summoned Caster (Medea), but grew paranoid when her god-like magic overshadowed his own inventions. After attempting to discard her through Kirei Kotomine, Medea severed their contract with Rule Breaker, destroyed his workshop, and burned him to death.
Relationships
His Servant in the Fifth Holy Grail War was Caster (Medea), whom he mistrusted after she wounded his ego; his scheme to abandon her ended with Medea severing their bond and killing him. He shared a unique rapport with Lord El-Melloi II, visiting him regularly and leaving behind a crucial post-mortem message. During the Iselma conflict, he hired the Grand-rank puppeteer Touko Aozaki while fighting El-Melloi II's students, Sven Glaudiate and Flat Escardos. He also negotiated with Kirei Kotomine to transfer Caster's ownership to Bazett Fraga McRemitz.
