Overview
Boggart is a character who appears as an NPC in Fate/Grand Order during the Lostbelt No. 6 chapter, Avalon le Fae. A prominent member of the Fang Clan in the Faerie Realm Britain, he serves as the lord of the fortress city of Sheffield and leads an anti-Queen faction aiming to claim the throne of Camelot.
Appearance
He is a humanoid beastman with the features of a white lion, covered in white fur and possessing lion-like ears, a head, and a tail. He dresses in refined aristocratic attire, featuring a long-sleeved blue coat trimmed with ornate gold embellishments.
Personality
He possesses a commanding and imperious presence that values sheer power, yet he is straightforward and sincere at heart. Due to past betrayals by his fairy wives, he developed a deep distrust toward fairy women, leading him to take human women as concubines. Though he can be demanding and forceful at times, he is a dedicated and skilled ruler whose genuine care for his subjects earns him wide respect from both humans and fairies.
Abilities
He is a formidable combatant capable of holding his own in battle against Fairy Knights. He possesses immense physical resilience, demonstrated by his ability to forcibly operate the Black Barrel—consuming massive amounts of magical energy equivalent to Command Spells in quick succession—while suffering only temporary exhaustion.
Background
In his past, he lost a duel for clan leadership against Woodwose and was subsequently ousted from ruling Norwich following a political struggle with Spriggan. Undeterred by these setbacks, he rallied exiled allies to rebuild the ruined city of Sheffield into a thriving stronghold. Determined to overthrow Queen Morgan, he built up a rebel force with the ultimate goal of taking the throne.
Relationships
He acted as a mentor to Barghest (Fairy Knight Gawain), encouraging her to take pride in her physical gifts when she was alienated by her clan, earning her deep filial respect. In the story, he takes an amnesiac Mash Kyrielight as his bride for political leverage, which draws intense malice and retaliatory spite from Beryl Gut.
Trivia
In Celtic folklore, a boggart is traditionally a mischievous household spirit akin to a brownie, or a dangerous creature haunting bridges. The name itself translates to 'one who draws a bow.' His character design was created by Simosi.
