Overview

Chuchu's Demi Trainer is a modified Mobile Suit featured in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury. Built from an early-model Demi Trainer manufactured by Burion (model number MSJ-105CC), this customized unit was restored by Nika Nanaura for the Earth House. It serves as the personal machine for pilot Chuatury "Chuchu" Panlunch.

Appearance

The machine features a yellowish, aged color scheme distinct from standard units, complete with green-eyed single-sensor head optics tailored for sniping. It leaves portions of its internal structure exposed by omitting selective body armor, while integrating a small shield on its left shoulder, leg-mounted rotational thrusters, and a specialized backpack connected directly to its long-barrel sniper rifle. During later repairs, unpainted gray replacement components are visible.

Personality

As a Mobile Suit, the machine possesses no consciousness of its own, though its pilot affectionately refers to it as "Demi-Tre." Despite Chuchu's stubborn and aggressive piloting demeanor that rejects retreat, the machine is primarily tactical, suited for hit-and-run strikes or long-range sniper support to offset its performance limits.

Abilities

Restored with enhanced mobility, the machine utilizes lower-leg rotational thrusters and a specialized backpack to achieve explosive acceleration and sharp maneuvering, resulting in intense G-forces that demand superior piloting skills. Its primary armament is a heavy long-barrel sniper rifle linked directly to the backpack power source, augmented by built-in beam vulcans. It can also swap its primary weapon for a gatling gun.

Background

The unit originated as a 16-year-old early-model trainer that Nika Nanaura overhauled into a combat-ready machine for the Earth House. During a team duel against Grassley House, despite taking severe damage from enemy forces, it was held steady by an allied Zowort to land a match-deciding sniper shot that melted its own rifle barrel. It later saw combat in the Rumble Ring and protected allies during a terrorist attack before the Earth House hangar was destroyed.

Relationships

Chuatury Panlunch serves as the machine's primary pilot, while Nika Nanaura acts as its designer and mechanic. On the battlefield, it fights alongside fellow Earth House members, forming tactical combinations with Suletta Mercury's Gundam Aerial and Till Nys's Zowort.

Trivia

The prefix "Demi" in the machine's name implies a half-step or partial nature, while its multi-tool system named "Daedalus" derives from the craftsman of Greek mythology. A special violet-colored variant was produced in collaboration with the musical group YOASOBI, complete with distinct markings and a featured plastic model release.
