Overview
Cookie Griffon is a supporting character in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. She is the younger sister of Tekkadan staff officer Biscuit Griffon and the twin sister of Cracker Griffon. A gentle and domestic girl who assists at her grandmother's farm, she later attends a juvenile boarding school in the Chryse Autonomous Region with financial backing from Tekkadan following her brother's tragic passing.
Appearance
Cookie is characterized visually by wearing her hair in twin braids styled on either side of her head. In contrast to her twin sister Cracker Griffon, whose style conveys activity and energy, Cookie's presentation leaves a more quiet, calm, and subdued impression.
Personality
Unlike her twin sister Cracker Griffon, who is quick-tempered and energetic, Cookie possesses a calm, gentle, and warm temperament, though she still displays age-appropriate innocence and playfulness. She holds deep affection for her brother Biscuit Griffon. Beneath her soft-spoken demeanor lies a practical and considerate mind; when facing public hostility, she exercises self-restraint and prevents others from reacting recklessly to avoid causing further harm to her brother's memory.
Abilities
Cookie possesses practical agricultural and domestic skills. She routinely assists with field work on her grandmother Sakura Pretzel's farm. She is also capable in household chores, demonstrating cooking proficiency by teaching foundational culinary skills and knife handling to Kudelia Aina Bernstein, who had no previous kitchen experience.
Background
Cookie grew up working on the farm operated by her grandmother, Sakura Pretzel, forming friendships with members of the CGS Third Unit who visited to lend a hand. At the CGS compound, she befriended Kudelia Aina Bernstein. Following the deaths of her older brothers, Biscuit Griffon and Savarin Canele, she enrolled in a boarding school funded by Tekkadan alongside Cracker Griffon. When Tekkadan was targeted by negative public propaganda, Cookie endured severe social backlash at school while keeping her sister calm. After the conflict subsided, she evacuated to the farm, holding onto Biscuit's cap as a memento, and eventually settled into a peaceful routine.
Relationships
Cookie shares a profound attachment to her brother Biscuit Griffon, treasuring his hat after his death. She maintains a close bond with her twin sister, Cracker Griffon. Through shared time on the farm, she developed warm friendships with Mikazuki Augus and Atra Mixta, eventually living together with Atra in later years. She also established a fond relationship with Kudelia Aina Bernstein after helping her learn kitchen skills.
Trivia
In keeping with the naming pattern of the Griffon siblings—such as her brother Biscuit Griffon and twin sister Cracker Griffon—her name is derived from baked confectionery.
