Overview
Efreet is a monster enemy species appearing in the mobile role-playing game Fate/Grand Order. Representing the feminine form of the traditional fire spirit Ifrit, she takes the form of a young spirit girl with a body composed of white-hot flames. First encountered wandering the vast desert sands of the Egyptian territory governed by Ozymandias, she routinely appears across numerous story chapters and seasonal events. Thanks to her endearing design and cheerful combat animations, she has built a loyal following among players as one of the game's most recognizable mob characters.
Appearance
Her upper body is constructed from whitish flames, tapering down into a swirling spiral of fire beneath her. She features dark brown horns on her head, alongside rugged hands and pointed feet of the same dark texture. In her idol appearance, her overall color scheme brightens, her dark brown highlights turn red, and a heart motif appears on her head. Her Alraune subspecies exhibits green coloration wrapped in wind, with leaves on her head and glowing red eyes visible through dark bodily slits.
Personality
Despite being a hostile enemy creature, she demonstrates a remarkably cheerful and lighthearted disposition during combat. Her dynamic movements and playfully named techniques reflect an innocent, fun-loving nature that persists even in the heat of battle. This contrast between her dangerous fiery identity and her endearing behavior gives her a distinct charm, causing players to view her as an exceptionally cute and memorable monster girl.
Abilities
In combat, she strikes enemies using hand scratches and somersault kicks performed with her pointed feet. Her skill Tanoshii increases her charge meter while boosting her NP attack power. When her charge gauge reaches maximum, she unleashes Sugoku Tanoshii, summoning a column of fire beneath her target that inflicts a burn effect. The Alraune variant replaces this max attack with a swirling tornado. Upon defeat, she occasionally drops the Lamp of Evil-Sealing material.
Background
Starting from her initial sightings in the Egyptian desert governed by Ozymandias, Efreet has appeared across numerous locations in Fate/Grand Order. In the Britain Lostbelt, she appears under the designation Will-o'-wisp. An individual Efreet actively pursuing an idol career was featured in the Akihabara Explosion! event, paving the way for her appearance as a major idol in Grail Live!!. Furthermore, she was granted a key narrative role in the 2025 White Day event titled His Name is Dante.
Relationships
Efreet is closely tied to the Egyptian desert territory governed by the Sun King Ozymandias, serving as one of the primary hostile creatures encountered within his domain. Through her persistent presence across main story chapters and diverse seasonal events, she has also established a memorable relationship with the player Masters as a beloved mob character.
Trivia
The name Ifrita is derived as the feminine linguistic form of Ifrit, the classic mythical fire spirit. Beyond her core fire-based manifestation, she features multiple distinct variants, including the wind-based plant spirit Alraune and the British Lostbelt's Will-o'-wisp. Her striking aesthetic has made her a prime example of monster-girl popularity among the Fate/Grand Order player base.
