Overview
The Hizack Custom, designated as RMS-106CS, is a specialized mobile suit featured in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. It is a long-range sniper and fire-support variant developed by enhancing the performance and generator efficiency of the standard mass-production Hizack.
Appearance
The unit features internal power pipes on its upper arms, legs stripped of thrust fins, and a extended neck duct. Its head adopts wide-set mono-eye rail pillars reminiscent of the Zaku II. The right shoulder is fitted with a unified armor structure combining a shield and spike armor, while the backpack is swapped for a high-mobility type without movable radiator fins.
Abilities
With an upgraded internal generator output over the standard model, the Hizack Custom is equipped to fire a high-output beam launcher for precision long-range sniping. Its revised thruster and radiator configuration grants it both tactical mobility and specialized fire-support capabilities.
Background
Modified from the standard Hizack, this machine re-incorporated high-performance elements from earlier pre-production models to maximize long-range combat efficiency. During the Gryps War, a duo of these units operated out of an agricultural block in Side 2's 13th Bunch, employing ambush tactics that successfully took down nine AEUG mobile suits before being countered and defeated by Quattro Bajeena piloting the Hyaku Shiki. Units remained in service later on, including one piloted by Captain Gilligan Eustace of the Republic of Zeon's Wind Faction.
Relationships
In combat, two Hizack Customs confronted AEUG pilot Quattro Bajeena in his Hyaku Shiki and were destroyed. In later conflict, a unit was maintained and operated as the personal machine of Captain Gilligan Eustace.
Trivia
Despite the Hizack line originally being rejected as true Zaku successors by Neo Zeon, the Hizack Custom ironically came to be revered as a direct lineage of the Zaku by Republic of Zeon soldiers. A plastic model kit based on its A.O.Z Re-Boot design was released as a Premium Bandai exclusive using parts re-tooled from the HGUC Hobby Hizack.
