Overview

Magical Caren, officially known as Indiscriminate Harmony Girl Cutie Caren, is a magical girl alter-ego of Caren Hortensia originating from Fate/tiger colossum UPPER. Chosen by the Kaleidostick Ruby (via Magical Amber), she serves as one of the Magical Four Heavenly Kings. Acting as a central figure and protagonist who schemes behind the scenes, she attempts to conceal her identity under a paper bag, leading everyone to simply refer to her as Magical Paper Bag.

Appearance

She possesses long white hair and yellow eyes. Her most defining visual feature is a paper bag worn over her head in an attempt to disguise her identity.

Personality

She possesses a sharp tongue and a deeply calculating, sadistic disposition. Beneath her outward appearance, she harbors a harsh demeanor and does not hesitate to display her severe, abusive nature toward others.

Abilities

Rather than a conventional wand, she wields a massive morning star named Love Earth Disaster as her primary weapon. Her special attacks include Dokidoki Toge Shinpan and her ultimate move Gochisosan Taizan, using her spiked iron ball to inflict violent destruction under the guise of healing. She is also capable of firing an Ice Beam in combat.

Background

After taking possession of the Tiger Holy Grail for her own purposes, the nun Caren ended up being transformed into a magical girl. Operating under various extravagant aliases such as Sister Caren of the End and Destruction Angel Pretty Maria, she manipulates events from the shadows. She also makes a cameo appearance in Carnival Phantasm.

Relationships

She was designated as a magical girl successor by Magical Amber and the Kaleidostick Ruby, placing her among the Magical Four Heavenly Kings.

Trivia

Due to writer Kinoko Nasu's enthusiasm for the character during the development of Fate/tiger colossum UPPER, her story route features over an hour of dialogue, vastly exceeding the typical 20-to-30-minute length of other character routes. Her Ice Beam technique serves as a homage to Iceman from MARVEL Comics.
