Ort Xibalba

ORT Xibalba is an invasive extra-terrestrial entity featured in Fate/Grand Order's Seventh Lostbelt. Born from an alternate variant of ORT that consumed a Fantasy Tree and absorbed data from defeated Servants, it analyzed Chaldea's summoning system to simulate a future where it gained Heroic Spirit status. Through this self-referential process, it summoned itself as a Grand Foreigner, turning a system designed for human preservation into a self-serving mechanism of cosmic destruction.

Overview

ORT Xibalba is an invasive extra-terrestrial entity featured in Fate/Grand Order's Seventh Lostbelt. Born from an alternate variant of ORT that consumed a Fantasy Tree and absorbed data from defeated Servants, it analyzed Chaldea's summoning system to simulate a future where it gained Heroic Spirit status. Through this self-referential process, it summoned itself as a Grand Foreigner, turning a system designed for human preservation into a self-serving mechanism of cosmic destruction.

Appearance

It assumes a streamlined, mostly humanoid silhouette slightly larger than a typical human, featuring a metallic golden hue and a glowing halo-like disk floating behind its back. Upon transforming further, its skin takes on a copper tone, its arms increase to six, and the surrounding space is distorted into a green-hued cosmos. During combat, it maintains a completely rigid stance, executing attacks without moving its body.

Personality

Void of human speech, emotion, or reason, it functions purely as an absolute, incomprehensible threat. Dialogue is impossible, as it exists solely as a force of non-negotiable consumption and survival. Its cold and unyielding nature reflects an absolute cosmic terror that resists any form of mutual understanding or empathy.

Abilities

It possesses the power to rewrite its surroundings into crystal formations and transmute local trees into Fantasy Trees. Through its high-level processing of Chaldea's summoning framework, it can force its own registration into the Throne of Heroes and continuously resummon itself. In battle, it releases solar flares, fires black beams from its fingertips, and commands massive attacks such as Cosmic Ray Burst, Lost Supernova, and Solar Storm using manufactured pseudo-suns. Furthermore, it can redefine its own cosmic observation timeframe up to 14.6 billion years, anchoring its existence to the very origin of the universe.

Background

Appearing within the Seventh Lostbelt, this variant of ORT devoured a Fantasy Tree and an alien heart to regain its mobility, turning the realm into a battleground. Although defeated by the combined efforts of Chaldea, it absorbed the concept of the summoning ritual, immediately manifesting itself anew as a Grand-class Servant. This act fundamentally altered the Lostbelt's structure until Kukulkan utilized the core of the region's artificial sun—the ultimate origin of ORT's missing heart—to launch a suicidal self-sacrificial strike that completely erased its physical and conceptual existence.

Relationships

It serves as an insurmountable obstacle to Fujimaru Ritsuka, Mash Kyrielight, and the Chaldea expedition, pushing them into deep despair through its endless self-resurrection. It shares a unique connection with Kukulkan, whose life force and power originate from ORT's detached heart, culminating in Kukulkan sacrificing herself to destroy both of their existence permanently.

Trivia

The title 'One Radiance Thing' directly corresponds to the acronym 'ORT'. The figure of 14.6 billion years set during its re-definition relies on the calculation known as Hubble time in astrophysics. Additionally, this Servant form was not originally included in the early outline of the chapter, but was added spontaneously during the final script-writing phase.
