Toole

Overview

Toole is a character featured in Fate/Apocrypha. She is a female battle homunculus created by the mage Gordes Musik Yggdmillennia to serve as a combatant in the Great Holy Grail War. After developing her own self-awareness through her interactions with Sieg, she assumes a leadership role among the surviving homunculi.

Appearance

Created using technology derived from the Einzbern line, Toole possesses pale white skin and distinct red eyes. She has short, grey-silver hair styled with prominent sidelocks, adorned with hair ornaments including a hairclip.

Personality

Toole has a direct, hearty demeanor and speaks in a rough, masculine tone. Beneath her blunt exterior, she is honest, kind, and deeply caring. She never hesitates to speak her mind freely, even toward her creator, displaying an uninhibited mentor-like authority. Despite her harsh tongue, she shows genuine concern for Sieg and her fellow homunculi.

Abilities

Although her magic circuits are meager, Toole possesses exceptional physical combat power and sensory perception as a specialized battle homunculus. She wields a heavy halberd in combat, effortlessly sweeping away forces such as Dragon Tooth Warriors, and exhibits strength superior to Sieg in his base form. During emergencies, she is capable of taking command of other homunculi. However, her engineered lifespan is extremely short, limited to roughly two to three months.

Background

Forged in the Millennia fortress in Romania, Toole initially lacked a personal name and was deployed into battle during the Great Holy Grail War. After expressing concern over Sieg's escape and later being rescued by him during the battle at the Yggdmillennia castle, she stepped up to lead the surviving homunculi. Following the war, Gordes named her and took her to the Musik household. When Gordes asked her to discipline his young son, Toole physically subdued the son, the mother who protested, and Gordes himself, effectively ruling at the top of the household for her remaining three months of life. Her legacy continues in Fate/Grand Order, where Goredolf Musik recalls receiving a strict Spartan education from a successor model named Toole Type IV.

Relationships

Toole maintains a blunt relationship with her creator, Gordes Musik Yggdmillennia; though she treats him with rough disrespect, she acknowledges his authority and accompanies him home. Her interactions with Sieg helped spark her self-awareness, prompting her to check on his safety via Ruler during the Holy Grail War. In the Musik household, she subjected Gordes' son, Goredolf Musik, to rigorous physical discipline.

Trivia

When her brief three-month lifespan came to an end, a simple funeral service was conducted for her. In character analyses, her coarse yet alluring mannerisms are often categorized under the archetype of a disappointing female teacher.
