Overview

Vim Jeturk is a supporting character in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. He serves as the CEO of Jeturk Heavy Machinery, one of the three major entities governing the Benerit Group. As a powerful executive who consolidates his family-run corporation through authoritarian leadership, he is driven by immense ambition to reach the top of the group hierarchy. He is also the father of Guel Jeturk and Lauda Neill.

Appearance

Vim possesses a sharp, stern face with featured facial structures that strongly resemble his eldest son, Guel. Over the years, his appearance shows clear signs of aging, though he maintains a noticeably leaner and firmer physique compared to the heavy-set build of his father who served as the previous CEO.

Personality

Vim is a fierce, ambitious executive who takes immense pride in his bloodline and his company's technological capabilities. He holds deep-seated prejudices against Earthians and shows little tolerance for those he considers beneath him. While prone to reckless decisions due to his impatient desire for immediate corporate success, he runs both his business and his household with absolute authority. Though he acts as a harsh, controlling father who treats his sons like subordinates, his underlying motivation stems from an eccentric, misguided paternal drive to groom his sons to succeed him.

Abilities

In addition to his administrative executive skills managing a massive industrial corporation, Vim possesses firsthand combat piloting experience from his past. Despite having retired from frontline duty to assume the role of CEO, he retains formidable mobile suit piloting capabilities, demonstrating proficient combat skills while operating a Dilanza Sol in active engagement.

Background

After being left by the mothers of both his sons, Vim raised Guel and Lauda on his own. Seeking to usurp Delling Rembran and take control of the Benerit Group, he engineered covert assassination schemes, which were derailed when his eldest son failed to maintain his position. During a sudden crisis at Plant Queta involving a military assault, Vim personally launched in a mobile suit to engage perceived enemies. Unknowingly facing his own runaway son in the middle of battle, he met a tragic end.

Relationships

Guel Jeturk is Vim's legitimate son with his main wife, whom he subjected to harsh discipline as his corporate heir, while Lauda Neill is his second son born to a mistress. Vim harbours intense resentment toward Delling Rembran, constantly plotting to undermine his position. He maintains tenuous, distrustful political rivalries with Sarius Zenelli and seeks clandestine tactical arrangements with Shaddiq Zenelli.

Trivia

Vim's extreme measures toward his son's academic and corporate standings generated significant focus within the narrative's household dynamic. Production background materials suggest that prior to the strained family relations seen in his later life, there was a period when he maintained a much warmer bond with his young sons after becoming a single father.
