Appearance
Woolf Enneacle possesses grey eyes and grey hair styled in a distinctive shape reminiscent of wolf ears, which move in response to his expressions and gestures. By the second phase of his career, he gains prominent white sideburns. He maintains a strict visual preference for his personal machinery, ensuring that all mobile suits assigned to him—such as the Genoace Custom, G-Exes, and G-Bouncer—are customized with an all-white paint scheme.
Personality
Self-confident and free-spirited, Woolf Enneacle initially appears as a flirtatious playboy, often acting in a laid-back and theatrical manner around women. Beneath his flashy exterior lies a deeply perceptive and steadfast individual who constantly looks out for his comrades, offering encouragement when they falter. He relies on highly developed instincts, frequently expressing his sense of battle or emotional states in terms of smells, even physically sniffing others to gauge their feelings. He also exhibits a unique sense of flair, taking pride in inventing memorable terms for his techniques and personal identity.
Abilities
Woolf Enneacle is renowned for his extraordinary, instinctual, and precise mobile suit piloting capabilities. Although he lacks X-Rounder precognitive abilities, he compensates through extensive battlefield experience and formidable technical skill, enabling him to match and outmaneuver advanced opponents. While piloting the G-Exes, he utilizes a specialized dual beam saber technique designated as the Wolf Fang. Over his career, he masters multiple machines, including the Genoace Custom, Shaldoll, G-Exes, and G-Bouncer, demonstrating top-tier combat mastery strictly through conventional piloting technique.
Background
After achieving top status as a Grand Prix motor racer, Woolf Enneacle joined the Earth Federation Forces to seek greater combat challenges. During his early military service as a Lieutenant, he mentored the young Flit Asuno and witnessed the final moments of a dying enemy soldier inside the Ambat fortress. Years later, promoted to Major, he assumed command of the mobile suit unit aboard the Diva. When Flit's son, Asemu Asuno, struggled with feelings of inadequacy due to lacking X-Rounder gifts, Woolf stepped in as a firm mentor. During the battle at Big Ring, he sacrificed himself to shield Asemu from an attack by Desil Galette, imparting his final words of encouragement before succumbing to his wounds.
Relationships
Woolf Enneacle formed a strong bond with Flit Asuno during his youth, serving as his reliable older brother figure. He later acted as a commander and fatherly mentor to Flit's son, Asemu Asuno, supporting him through his personal doubts and ultimately sacrificing his life to protect him. He frequently flirted with Diva officer Millais Alloy using an affectionate nickname, while providing steady emotional backing to comrades like Largan Drace. His final confrontation on the battlefield was against enemy pilot Desil Galette, whose assault led to Woolf's fatal injury.
Trivia
Woolf Enneacle shares his White Wolf title and exclusive use of white machine color schemes with classic franchise characters such as Shin Matsunaga from Mobile Suit Gundam MSV. His pre-Gundam status as an ace pilot—during a period when the Unknown Enemy had never been shot down—was later explained in audio dramas and novelizations as being earned through suppressing internal anti-Federation rebellions. In the print novelization, his character is portrayed as much more severe toward recruits, using harsh discipline intentionally to foster unit solidarity while offering deeper philosophical reflections on family and adulthood.
